Hmm, this is my very first blog post, hence the title…couldn’t really started any other way. Just today I also did my very first tweet, and…you guessed it! It was also a “Hello world!” tweet, typical developer icebreaker. Anyways, dear reader, to be honest I’m not sure what I’ve gotten myself into by starting up this blog (sigh), only thing I know is that I have a unique story to tell (just like the rest of the world, including you dear reader, yes you!). In my case it involves being a woman and writing software in a male dominated world or should I say a male dominated industry. Please know I just intend to share my experience (and God knows maybe a bit about my personal life), have no intentions of taking this platform shed dirt to my opposite sex that dominates this knowledge stratosphere. If you are a gal you might find it a relief that you are not alone out there, as Princess Anna of Arendelle I say to you “hang in there Joan!”. If you are a guy please keep on reading, you might find it interesting to see your world from female eyes.

In any case I’m also open to listen you out. So if you also have something unique and special to share about your journey please feel free to pass it along!
